Which countries does Srilio support?
Srilio launches with the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and Ireland, side by side in one account. Srilio is built to be multi-country, and more countries are on the way, each arriving complete rather than half-built.
What are the three modules?
Payroll is in every plan: pay runs, pensions, statutory pay, returns, leave, onboarding and the Srilio app for employees. HR adds recruitment, performance reviews and training. Workforce adds rotas, timesheets, the live board and the Srilio Clock app. Add HR and Workforce whenever you need them.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes. Every employee gets the Srilio app for payslips, holidays and tax documents, plus shifts, shift swaps and clock-in if you have Workforce. Managers can approve leave and swaps from it too. It installs straight from the browser on Apple and Android phones; App Store and Google Play versions are on the roadmap.
Who is Lio?
Lio is Srilio's AI assistant, coming soon. Tell him about a sickness, a bonus that runs until a date or what someone should earn, in your own words, and he confirms exactly who you mean (name, employee number and country), keeps it on file and flags any pay run that doesn't match. Lio works to each country's own rules, and he'll help with rotas too, building the week and finding cover. Nothing changes until you confirm, and Lio is never sent anyone's name, pay or contact details.
How does Srilio keep up when the law changes?
Every rate, threshold and rule for each country and tax year is kept in Srilio's settings rather than buried in its code. When a Budget changes a figure, we update it and a person checks it against the official source before it reaches your payroll, so there's no waiting for a software release.
Does Srilio file directly with HMRC and Revenue?
Not yet, and we'd rather tell you plainly. Srilio prepares every HMRC and Revenue return, checks it against their published rules, shows you anything that needs correcting and tracks every deadline. Sending returns straight from Srilio is in development. Until then, you submit the prepared return as you do today and record the reference in Srilio.
What happens if an employee's details are incomplete?
Srilio holds that one employee with a plain reason rather than paying them wrongly, for example an unknown tax code, missing pay history or a leave pay policy that hasn't been set. Everyone else carries on. Details that only a filing needs don't stop the pay run: the submission lists what to correct and links to the right profile section.
Can I correct a pay run after it's finalised?
Yes. Reopen the pay run, or just the people who need it, and give a reason. Make your changes and finalise again, and the corrected payslip is reissued to the employee's app. Nothing is overwritten: every earlier version stays on record with who changed it, when and why, and any later payslips affected by the change are flagged so nothing drifts.
What's the difference between a business and a bureau licence?
A business licence is for a company running its own payroll, and covers one company per country: for example, one UK company and one Irish company. A bureau licence is for practices running payroll for several clients: one dashboard across every client, with each client's records kept strictly apart.
My accountant runs our payroll. Can they use our account?
Yes. From Users & Roles you can invite your accountant's or bookkeeper's bureau and choose exactly what they can see and do, starting from view only. You stay in control and can end their access at any time.
What do I need for the Srilio Clock app?
Any iPad or Android tablet. You register it with a one-off code from Workforce settings. Staff clock in with their clock number and PIN, with an optional photo on each punch. For a kiosk that can't be exited, use the tablet's own lock feature, such as Guided Access on iPad or screen pinning on Android.
How is my data protected?
Srilio stores your records encrypted and keeps every earlier version. Issued payslips can never be overwritten. You decide who can see salaries, bank details and NI numbers, and those limits are checked every time. We take daily and weekly backups and test them by restoring them.
Can I buy Srilio yet?
